A Story in Symbols
National Gallery of the Cayman Islands | Jul - Sept 2025
A solo-curated exhibition at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. I independently led research, stakeholder engagement, marketing and public programming. I managed the planning and delivery of a public-facing exhibition from initial concept through to launch, coordinating stakeholders, project timelines, marketing activity, documentation and public engagement whilst ensuring successful delivery within deadlines.
The exhibition served as an exploration of Caymanian cultural iconography, symbols, and emblems whilst considering how these motifs shape Caymanian national identity. Acknowledging these symbols as a source of collective pride, the exhibition unpacks their significance with both a direct illustration and creative interpretation.
